Let’s make it happen.

“I want to tell stories all the time.” That’s what the green sticky note on my wall beside my desk says. This faded sticky note has been there for a long time. Being a writer, and telling stories all the time is something I’ve longed for, for a very long time.

Do you know what I’m talking about? Do you also have a sticky note on your wall, with a dream written on it, that is fading, and remains unfufilled? Or maybe the sticky note lives in your mind, as a deep unmet longing to do a thing.

If you haven’t yet noticed, I’m telling you a story. Yep, I’m now blogging twice a week and living my dream. Finally! I no longer have to look at that sticky note beside my desk with longing and despair. Today I’d like to share how I was able to take action on my dream. To move it from a faded green sticky note, to actually writing and publishing blogs, calling myself a writer, and contemplating writing a book or two down the road.

The truth is that there were many things that brought me here. But there are two key things that I’d like to talk about today, that were instrumental in my shift.

The first thing, is that the voice in my head that wanted to write all the time got loud and feverish. I went from saying, “I want to tell stories all the time” to, “my soul will die if I don’t write.” And, this loud and feverish voice started talking out loud to other people. The desire had grown so strong, it felt like a dam ready to burst inside my body.

Now the second, is what really brought the magic and kicked me into action. It was the juice! It honest to goodness was the decision I made early this year, to put juicy at the centre of my life. And what I mean by that is that I made a decision to put the quality of juiciness at the centre of my life. That I would take the quality of juiciness on as a personal research project, get really curious, and learn by way of curiosity.

Juicy is pure magic when it comes to giving you the get up and go to actually take action on a thing. The qualities that it represents, and the way it feels in the body is pure magic. I see it all the time, when I tell people that I’m researching juicy, they perk up, they get excited and want to know more. People have an innate understanding of the quality of juiciness. The juicy feelings might even be arising for you as your read this. It’s that energy that we’re harnessing here.

I can tell you what juicy brings to me. (Feel into your body as I say these things. See if it resonates.) First off, it’s deep in my belly where I feel the juicy. I feel a solid depth and wisdom there - a confidence. There is also a sense of flow, moisture, pliability and fertility, that has a sense of pulsing in and out. Then I also feel a sense of radiation, light and playfulness. Like the kind of energy that draws you up to dance when you hear a great song.

And the thing about juicy energy, is the sense of renewal. This is an energy that is sourced, and has sustenance to keep you solidly supported in the long term. Juicy is not a fly by night energy. It is a rock solid, yet has wings to fly. Tapping into the juicy energy, is like tapping into a vehicle that can carry your dreams from sticky note to actioning out in the world.

I wanna add something really key to this. It’s that it feels so effing damn good to be actioning out a dream you’ve wanted for so long. Particuarly, dreams that live close to the heart and soul. Dreams that feel like you’ll die inside if you can’t action out. The feeling of actually doing the thing AND feeling resourced enough to stay the course. Well that is pure gold. And I want this for you.

So here’s my offering to you today. Feel the juice. Drop your awareness down into your body. Get curious about how juicy energy feels, and how it moves. What does it awaken in you? Get aquainted with this quality that lives in you already. Also, keep checking in with me here as I’ll be offering support to you and others on the juicy path.

Your dreams are precious. What you long for is precious. Whether or not you action them out. But if you’re ready, to take flight - then godspeed and may the juice be with you.
